Utilizing Multi-Factor Authentication for Cyber Attack Prevention
October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month which means the focus is on cyber attack prevention.
Our first tip for cyber attack prevention helps you secure applications using Multi-Factor or Two-Factor Authentication to minimize the chances of someone gaining access to your account.
Most banks, email, and software applications allow you to utilize an authenticator app, biometrics, or text messaging to validate your identity.
After entering your username and password, the website or app sends you a message to confirm your identity before granting you access.
Use this technology on as many platforms as possible for stronger cyber attack prevention.
